How To Add And Customize Links On Instagram Stories
Instagram now allows every user to add links to their Stories
Back in the day, only verified or accounts with more than 10k followers could put links on their Stories via the Swipe-up option. For business owners, links are essential because they redirect customers to their buy pages. Therefore, increasing the possibility of generating more sales. For content creators, links are vital because they can help drive traffic to their websites.
Following requests from the community, Instagram made a highly-commendable decision to make the link option available to everyone, regardless of the number of followers a person has. The social media giant took away the Swipe-up option in favor of the Add Link sticker.
If you have not heard of this new option yet, now is the perfect time to learn more about the Add Link sticker. This step-by-step tutorial will tell you how to access and use it on your Instagram Stories.

Can I Use Add Link Stickers?
Definitely! In October 2021, Instagram made the Link Stickers accessible to every user, not just verified accounts or those with more than 10,000 followers.
In a rare instance that you still don’t see the link sticker option on your Story, make sure that your app is up to date. You may also try to do the old-fashioned tech advice of turning your phone on and off to fix some temporary glitches. If this still doesn’t work, you can try reporting the problem to Instagram by going to Settings> Help> Report A Problem > Something Isn’t Working.
Briefly explain the problem and provide screenshots for support.
Other Ways To Use/
Share Link On Instagram
Unlike Facebook, Instagram does not support links in the captions of your photos or videos.
However, there are other ways to share links with your friends/ followers and bring more people to your desired internet destination.
Link in bio
Try shortening your bio by using customization tools such as bit.ly. You can only post one link on your bio. So, if you have more than one link you’d like to share with your followers, you can use a separate tool to host all of them on one landing page through an Instagram link tree.
Make sure that your links are updated, and don’t forget to add “link in bio” on your posts to let people know about it.
Direct Messages
Another way to share links is via Instagram’s Direct Messages.
You can create a post and tell your followers to send you a DM to get a direct link. DM Me sticker on Stories is another cool feature to use since it lets your followers connect with you with just one tap.
The approach feels more personalized, but you also have to gauge the possible number of requests you might receive. If you have a large following, be prepared to automate responses if you do not want to end up answering thousands of DMs.
